Our President Shri Ajit Nimbalkar (I.A.S., Retired) is the guiding force behind the efficient functioning of Niwara, ensuring we uphold the values instilled by our founders.

A team of dedicated and capable honorary volunteers offer essential round-the-clock support and presence on the campus.
A General Body consisting of 20 members and an executive committee of 10 members organise the various activities of Niwara. The General Body meets once a year to discuss the progress of the Institution. The Executive Body along with trustees conduct meetings regularly for periodic updates, acceptance of new admissions and financial planning. This ensures timely and effective actions on various agenda items on Niwara Administration. All reports are furnished as required to the various Government Departments.

In the past, eminent citizens from various backgrounds were associated with the voluntary work in this noble institution, then known as the “David Sassoon Infirm Asylum”. These included :
