Niwara completed 150 years of service to humanity, on 09 Aug 2013. Various activities were organised during the whole year to celebrate this grand occasion. A Souvenir and VCD were compiled and released, highlighting the history and important episodes in the journey of Niwara.
Every month of the 150th year, Niwara offered a different program. Special Mementoes were presented to various dignitaries who visited the Niwara for these programs. All donors and well wishers were invited for the programs/functions |

| 8 & 9 Sep 2012 : A two day Seminar was conducted at Niwara with participation of directors and volunteers from various Old Age Homes. Government officials from departments such as Income Tax Commissioner, Charity Commissioner, Director Social Welfare, Labour Commissioner were invited to discuss the issues related to running of Old Age Homes. |
